Hi there, I hope you are all well.
Things have really been progressing here at Sweet Tops, so I’ve decided to start up a regular blog feature to bring you new and exciting product ranges, hints and tips to get the best from your baking, great recipes and industry updates.
But, to start with, here’s our own business news!
Sweet Tops Thank You
Firstly, a huge thanks to everyone who has supported Sweet Tops since we began our business (as it was back in 2013!) offering edible designs and cake toppers. I can’t believe how much has changed since then, especially over the last few ‘challenging’ months.
I really didn’t know what to expect when the Pandemic started. But with your amazing support, comments on our social media, and recommendations, we have actually managed to grow the business beyond even my own expectations – and I’m a self-confessed workaholic!
It’s not been the best of times for many of you, and it’s been important to make the most of every opportunity to celebrate. And that’s exactly what you’ve done, by the looks of the orders you’ve been placing and the pictures you have sent us! Thank you.
Cake Toppers
Your requests for cupcake and cake toppers of all shapes and sizes came first.
Only a few years ago, these were relatively simple in design - sugar paste and fondant icing.
Great British Bake Off had only run for two seasons at this point, but Mary Berry and Paul Hollywood were already starting to build up a huge following. And this was showing through in your imagination! The world of cake toppers had started to move on!
We love creating cake toppers for you – anything from film characters, gaming designs to your favourite TV programme (yes, we’ve even done a flat edible cake topper of the Rovers Return!), football teams, bands, or your delicious branded tipple! Bespoke edible plaques through to the most amazing stand up toppers.
We’ve been asked for them all. And we can design pretty much anything to suit your requirements.
This was where Sweet Tops started, and we can't wait to see where your imagination takes us next!

Edible Printing Supplies
We take your image, photo or handmade design and turn it into a work of art!
The highest resolution images are printed on to icing sheets or wafer (rice) paper. So you can create a real ‘WOW’ factor with your cakes and cookies, muffins and macaroons.
Not only do we supply items for private individual customers, we also create bespoke bulk designs for bakers and bakeries.
New Range of Printed Items
More recently, you started asking if we could also provide personalised ribbon to decorate your cakes and gifts - which of course, we can. I love a challenge!
But it also got me thinking about what else Sweet Tops could do for you.
With the Pandemic continuing, a 'digital' Christmas looming, and more on-line shopping than high street queues, demand for other printed items continues to grow.
Birthdays and births during 2020 have given us a great excuse to show off with a t-shirt, hoody, baby grow or bib. It's been a strange year, but we've been able to show your sense of humour with printed clothing designs!
And of course, we have Halloween and then Christmas coming up, so don't miss out on another chance to grab your gifts from us.
Our new state of the art printer means your opportunities are endless. From mugs to tote bags, from baby size clothing to XXL, our passion is to create the best products available.
